This research worked the methodology of the Precautions Adoption Process (PAP) in order to modify three risk substance abuse factors (information about psychoactive substances, assertiveness, and resist group pressure) in school children. An assessment method was designed to permit to classification  of the participants original position about their behavior in each of the risk factors. Workshops were also designed to modify each risk factor according to the PAP procedures for every stage. The results showed thet there  was not a strict progress stage sequence  as the  PAP points out. In the  experimental group, more subjects  reached the  final stage although they presented  a high perceived vulnerability  ath the  beginning, contrary to the hyphotesis. Neither, there were differences  between pre and posts measures, except  for the group pressure variable.
