Los objetivos y los problemas son elementos empleados en múltiples dominios con el fin de crear soluciones a situaciones problemáticas. Por lo general, la identificación de objetivos y problemas se suele delegar a personas con capacidad de análisis, quienes emplean su intuición para, subjetivamente, realizar tal identificación. En este artículo se explora la literatura existente en la representación de objetivos y problemas en ingeniería de software y gerencia organizacional, además de una serie de trabajos sobre consistencia entre estos conceptos.
