Factores que inciden en el registro acústico deglutorio: una mirada hacia la auscultación cervical
Los métodos de diagnóstico de precisión que abordan de manera objetiva los trastornos deglutorios en Colombia, no son de fácil acceso para la población por no estar incluidos en el plan obligatorio de salud. En Colombia los Fonoaudiólogos no tienen acceso a recursos que faciliten el diagnóstico preciso de disfagias, por lo que su abordaje puede basarse en su capacidad de interpretación clínica que podría fácilmente considerarse “subjetiva” o empírica, lo cual incrementa el riesgo de mala interpretación y manejos inadecuados del proceso. Como alternativa de abordaje clínico, la Auscultación Cervical (AC) ha sido utilizada por algunos profesionales como una alternativa de screening para llegar a conocer las situaciones predominantes en la fase faríngea del proceso deglutorio, este escrito pretende identificar a través de una revisión de evidencia disponible, las relaciones existentes entre los fenómenos fisiológicos que tienen origen una vez se activa el reflejo deglutorio y se desencadena la activación refleja y protectora de las vías aéreas inferiores, para poder lograr posteriormente desde la espectrografía del sonido una verdadera comprensión del fenómeno físico-acústico de la deglución.
