El clúster de Servicios de Medicina y Odontología de Medellín tiene el plan de hacer de la ciudad uno de los mejores destinos para el turismo en salud del continente. Para conocer la opinión de expertos, la revista Ingeniería Biomédica tiene programada una serie de entrevistas con los actores principales del desarrollo tecnológico de la región. La serie de entrevistas inicia con las opiniones del doctor Carlos Enrique Cárdenas Rendón, director del clúster de Servicios de Medicina y Odontología de Medellín. El doctor Carlos Enrique Cárdenas Rendón es Magister en Administración en Salud, Salud y Protección Social por la Universidad del Rosario y la Universidad CES. Ha sido Secretario de Salud de Medellín en el periodo del 2004 al 2007, y actualmente es el director del Clúster Servicios de Medicina y Odontología de Medellín.
