Abordar una planeación consciente y disciplinada en la elaboración de un presupuesto, en el establecer objetivos, controlar ingresos y egresos conllevan en muchos ámbitos a garantizar un ciclo económico en el que se evite frustraciones en temas del dinero sea insatisfactoria. At the Tecnologico de Antioquia, specifically the School of Administrative and Economic Sciences (FCAE), the concern about how the capacity to save has evolved or worsened and according to the results obtained, to develop an article that allows to know which are the most used techniques within the academic community. This was developed under a mixed methodology since quantitative and qualitative variables were used, which favors the collection, organization and study of the information to make a comparison of the saving capacity of the students belonging to the Tecnologico de Antioquia in 2013 and the current students of the year 2022 who are in their last semesters belonging to the FCAE of the same institution, knowing their sources of income, and where they are focusing their saving and thus; observe the status of the fulfillment of the goals, whether short or long term, that each one has within their professional development during their university education.
