Historia y ficción: una nueva alianza
Los años estructuralistas de la década de 1960 estuvieron marcados en Francia por el deseo de una escritura intransitiva, de espaldas a la sociedad, en nombre de una escritura blanca, intransitiva, como decía Roland Barthes, aislada de la realidad, del referente. Hoy, sin embargo, asistimos a un "retorno" de la ficción, de la novela al mundo social. Podría pensarse que se trata de una vuelta al siglo XIX, al realismo de un Balzac o un Zola, pero en realidad este nuevo acercamiento a lo social se nutre de las aportaciones de la lingüística, la sociología, el psicoanálisis y la historia.
