Entre las muchas críticas dirigidas contra el presidente Hugo Chávez cabe mencionar la de usar la historia patria de manera desaprensiva. En este trabajo, a través de ejemplos de ira y studium, se intenta demostrar que el uso y el abuso de la historia con fines políticos no son una invención del chavismo, sino una constante de la cultura política venezolana.
