Principales helmintos encontrados en un centro de fauna cautiva en Colombia
En el presente trabajo, fueron analizados los hallazgos de helmintos obtenidos durante un año de exámenes coprológicos, en un centro de fauna cautiva en Colombia. Se realizaron 375 exámenes coprológicos, con muestras recolectadas a partir de diferentes especies de anfibios, reptiles, aves y mamíferos. Los porcentajes de animales parasitados con helmintos, fueron: anfibios el 24%, reptiles el 17%, aves 16% y mamíferos el 43%. Las tasas más altas de parasitismo por helmintos fueron producidas por los geohelmintos, encontrando con mayor frecuencia los grupos estrongilideos (53%) y ancylostomideos (33%) principalmente en anfibios, reptiles y mamíferos.
