De extremadura a trieste.
En este artículo el autor ofrece una evocación literaria de su vida en Italia, relacionándola con las propias actividades académicas; de ahí su carácter autobiográfico. Más de cuarenta años de experiencia como docente universitario, constituyen un cúmulo de vivencias que con frecuencia superan lo narrativo para entrar a formar parte integrante del propio patrimonio cultural. Al tratarse de un trabajo con base en sus propias memorias, el autor ha preferido eludir el habitual aparato erudito. En él lo anecdótico, sin ser despojado de su ocasional carácter lúdico, se presenta no ya como mero pasatiempo, sino más que nada como instrumento para elaborar cultura, consolidarla y transmitirla.

Being an article based on personal memories, the author deemed appropriate to avoid the conventional framework of scholarly writing. As a matter of fact, the anecdotic tone of this writing, not exempt of an occasional playful nuance, accounts for more than mere divertissement and rather becomes an instrument to process, consolidate and transmit culture.
