Pablo Guadarrama con su amplia producción teórica de corte histórico-filosófico ocupa un lugar importante en la historiografía de las ideas en la región. A pesar de ser un hombre relativamente joven, sus estudios de desde hace un buen tiempo, resultan de obligada consulta para los investigadores del pensamiento latinoamericano dentro y fuera de Cuba. Uno de los méritos de su obra reside en la manera en que ha llevado a cabo la sistematización y a su vez recreación del devenir de las ideas marxistas en América Latina.
